. . . Even though it has four seats, it’s hard to consider this Mini anything more than a two-seater for Sunday fun runs to the beach with some gear. I’d say a Miata is better for that, though, and cheaper too. But, people do love the quirky styling, and it does have more utility than any Mini drop-top that came before.

If you do decide to buy one, here’s our advice: Keep the three-cylinder, get summer tires, and motor to your heart’s content.
