Our Saturday route (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ViFAyZuJUiw1jvAE6) will take us to 2 iconic locations:
The tunnel view
Located at the east end of the Wawona Tunnel along the Wawona Road (Highway 41), the iconic Tunnel View overlook has captured the awe of visitors for more than 75 years.
Tunnel View provides one of the most famous views of Yosemite Valley, showcasing the immensity of the granite walls that surround Yosemite Valley and providing a classic view of El Capitan, Half Dome, Sentinel Rock, Cathedral Rocks, and Bridalveil Fall.
Bridalveil Fall
Plunging 620 feet, Bridalveil Fall is often the first waterfall you'll see when entering Yosemite Valley. When the water is at its peak in spring and early summer, you can expect to get wet! In some cases the spray is so strong, you may not even be able to easily access the end of the trail.
During the rest of the year, look for its characteristic light, swaying flow. A paved trail leads from the parking area to the base of this waterfall, which flows year-round. The western trail to the base of Bridalveil Fall is wheelchair accessible.
After Bridalveil Fall you are encouraged to explore on your own.
