British car manufacturer Bristol Cars has declared bankruptcy. The company has made handbuilt, high-performance cars for the wealthy for more than 60 years.

The bankruptcy sale will include its sole showroom, its factory and restoration shop; its spare parts; its trademarks; all of its machinery; a number of used Bristols and the Web domain www.bristolcars.co.uk.
