Aretha Franklin Gets Some R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Aretha Franklin, the Goddess of Soul, pulled off the impossible. She talked her way out of a New York City parking ticket. On Monday night on Manhattan’s Upper East Side Franklin spotted a parking official honing in on her car while she was at dinner with friends. She scurried out and intercepted the officer. Apparently, she received leniency in exchange for a signed envelope.
