The Oxford Mail reports that, "
despite concerns over the future of the world championship" due to missing an application deadline, MINI will be "
on the start line for the first race of the World Rally Championship (WRC) 2012 season – Mini’s first in the Monte Carlo since 1968." The filing mix-up was apparently due to the promoter of the WRC being placed in receivership.
