BMW Recalls 88,911 MINIs Due To Fire Danger

BMW has recalled 88,911 MINI Cooper S's, JCW's and Clubman S's in the U.S. from the model years 2007 to 2011 due to the possible of a car fire. According to Bloomberg Businessweek BMW identified the cause:
The circuit board on the electric auxiliary water pumps that cool the cars’ turbochargers can malfunction, overheat and cause fires, BMW said today in a posting on the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website.
