Feather River Canyon Run, Picnic And Play

Travel with NORCAL MINIS through the Feather River Canyon and see some of the California's most beautiful scenery - waterfalls, tunnels cut into the rocky side of the canyon, high canyon walls, green forest, PG&E power houses, old resorts, bridges, trains and picnic with us on the river. 

Meet-Up Locations

SF/SJ/Bay Area and participants farther south we caravan from and promptly leave the Burger King parking lot located at 
190 Pittman Road, Fairfield, CA at 6:30 a.m.  

All other participants please meet us at The Iron Village located at 1905 Mitchell Avenue, Oroville, CA no later than 10:00 a.m.  
The Iron Village is an excellent breakfast restaurant and we recommend that you arrive by 9:00 a.m. should you desire breakfast.

We will stop in the Feather River Canyon for our picnic.

After lunch we will complete our run through the canyon in Quincy, CA just in time for evening festivities at the 

Plumas-Sierra County Fair 

(bull riding starts at 7:00 pm and the Fair closes at midnight)

What To Bring
We will bring drinks, charcoal, charcoal starter, plates, condiments, utensils, napkins, sides and dessert.  We ask that participants provide their own main course to put on the grill.
We will be on the river for lunch and recommend participants bring sunscreen, bathing suits, towels and a change of clothes since you will want to play in the water.  You might consider bringing an folding chair, inner-tube or blow-up raft.
Suggestions
We recommend that you plan to make it a weekend, especially if you are from the Bay Area or further south, since it is a four hour drive from the end of this run in Quincy to the Bay Area.  Suggested locations for lodging are Quincy, Chester, Blairsden, Graeagle and Calpine.
