The Giving Season!
During a recent run we collected donations for Hope Hospice of Pleasanton. The club added to an amazing grand total of $1700.00 to a wonderful organization. In addition some of the money was used to purchase 20 robotic cats as you can see in the picture along with our President Simon Tildesley and his wife Nikki. The cats are to be used for dementia patients via Hope. The aim is to decrease social isolation during Covid-19 when Hope's volunteers and pet therapists are able to visit in person.Studies show robotic pets lower levels of depression and agitation. They help and comfort these patients. They can also reduce the need for medications.
